Dahon 2008 Radius Handlepost Voluntary Recall Action

The Recall is to deal with a discovery of a combination of inaccurate machining and inconsistent quality of material can cause the Radius hinge to crack and break, posing a fall hazard to the consumer. As a safety precaution for our valued customers, Dahon is conducting a voluntary recall for specific batches of Radius handle posts fitted to 2008 bicycle models delivered to distributors between April 2008 and February 2009.

This issue has been rectified for all Radius handle posts supplied after February 2009. Replacement handleposts wil be available at appointed service centres/dealers.

Dahon has limited the potentially affected stems to batches determined by bicycle serial numbers. Only Radius handle posts fitted to bicycles with specific serial numbers will need to be replaced. To check if your bike is affected, please click on Check your serial numbers . Simply follow the instructions and Speedmatrix Pte Ltd is working closely with Dahon to get your post replaced.
